GOLF RULE NO 25 - Exercise In While Playing A Hole

Exercise In While Playing A Hole

SITUATION: Player A is being played at stroke play match, which means the winner is the player with the lowest total score. He arrived on the field too late to exercise, so with haste he hurried to the first tee and hit his drive into the fairway.

COMMON MISTAKES: While fellow competitors tee off, Player A is adjacent to the putting green and do some blow putt. Under Rule 7-2 you are prohibited from doing blow-train (practice strokes) at the time the game a hole. Penalty for violation is two strokes or less holes in match play.

CORRECT PROCEDURE: If you want to do the exercises at the putting or chipping game between two holes in progress, you may only do so on the green last in play, on top of special training putting green, or near the next tee. Once again, you should not do a blow-trainer at the time of playing a hole.
