Seminyak is a very beautiful tourist spot, besides the beach tourism there are also many holy place of Hindu religion, one of those holy places is Petitenget Temple.

The history of the temple began when the Pastor named Dang Hyang Dwijendra left Serangan Island and arrived in a village that now known as Kerobokan. In the village he saw giant shadows hiding behind bushes. He called the shadow Bhuta Ijo, a son of Bhatara Labuhan Masceti. Bhuta Ijo is a spirit that is believed having a very frightening face.

Before the Pastor left the village, he gave Bhuta Ijo a box like a chest and asked him to look after the box. After a while during meditation at Uluwatu Temple, Dang Hyang Dwijendra had visitors from Kerobokan Village who came to ask for help. People from the village told Dang Hyang Dwijendra about the land near his village which was very mysterious because every time someone tried to enter the land, the person concerned would fall ill. As a solution, Dang Hyang Dwijendra told the person to build a temple and make offerings in the temple. So the temple was built in the area and miraculously managed to make the area more friendly to the population. The temple was then called Petitenget Temple. There is no more creepy atmosphere, especially at this time, when the Temple is surrounded by villas, hotels and restaurants.

To the west of the temple thereis the beautiful beach called Petitenget beach. Because the waves on Petitenget beach tend to be high, many surfers feel challenged to conquer the waves on the beach. Here you can see the thrill of surfers both local and foreign surfers fused with the waves. You can also enjoy the beach by swimming or playing water. The location of the beach is very clean so that tourists become more comfortable enjoying the beauty of the beach scenery.
